DUPLEX AND SUPERDUPLEX STEEL CASTING »
In their chemical composition, duplex and superduplex stainless steels are alloys of iron with chromium or molybdenum which, along with nickel and nitrogen, can facilitate balance between the ferritic and austenitic phases. These steels combine the properties of ferritic steels (strength) and austenitic steels (ductility) and they are very difficult to manufacture, but offer a high level of weldability and mechanical strength and high corrosion resistance.
At our facilities, they are manufactured using induction furnaces and heat-treated to meet the requirements of the different International Standards.
